When ordering dies, specify length and width of the die body. What ever possible, make the die size smaller than the size of the workpiece.
Remember to keep the art as nondetailed as possible, as printing intricate detail is not practical unless using a high quality coated paper. The best results for reproduction are obtained from black on white. However, good results can be gotten from a dark color on a light background. Pastel colors, gold and silver, and pencil drawings will not reproduce photographically, so they are not acceptable for photo reproduction. The artwork must be a line drawing, not an actual photograph.
